Root 6 Chord Shapes

and show the major and minor shapes for both.
A bar chord is one where the first finger maintains a bar across all string of the guitar.
Root six bar chords have their root note on the 6th string.

Major Shape

This shape can be moved up and down the fret board. It will take its
name from the fret position where the shape is placed.

Minor Shape

As can be seen the note on the G string has been dropped by one step
This note is actually a the 3rd note in the chord scale which has been flattened
by one degree. Giving that distinct minor quality in the chord sound
